What’s it all about?
The film features members of the women’s national soccer team, who will have the chance of winning their third Women’s World Cup, held in Germany. Then the disappointment: Germany is knocked out by Japan in the quarter-finals. In addition, the new documentary by South Korean-born, Germany-raised and based Sung-Hyung Cho (“Full Metal Village”) also features off-the-field events: months of preparation as well as portraits of the players – from Lira Bajramaj, who is called “Miss World Cup”, to the boyish newcomer Dszenifer Marozsán. They are all passionate about playing soccer, but also have both feet firmly on the ground by attending university or working as a consultant.
Get yourself ready for the soccer World Cup by checking out this fab film! We hope to see you there!
