Movie Screening: Rockin’ the Wall

Want to see a movie all about rock music’s part in the fall of the Berlin wall? Well, this event is perfect for you! It isn’t until the end of the month but we wanted you to get that date in your diary ASAP so you won’t miss out. Ready for the details? Here we go:

Rocking the wall

Admission: $8

Now, if you haven’t already noticed, this one isn’t taking place at the Goethe-Zentrum, it’s in the Earl Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta. Rockin’ the Wall is a G-rated documentary about rock music’s part in the fall of the Berlin Wall, featuring the Doors, Quiet Riot, Toto, Vanilla Fudge, and others. It has an outstanding original soundtrack as well with new songs by Mark Stein of Vanilla Fudge, Mother’s Finest, and Peter Rivera of “Rare Earth.” It is going on a national theatrical tour this fall in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Special guests Mother’s Finest, a funk rock group featured on the movie’s soundtrack, will be at the event for a Question & Answer session following the movie.
