EVENT: European Science Café – Climate Change and Health Impacts
It’s been a while since our last European Science Café so it’s definitely time for another one! Join us next week as we host the latest lecture in the series: Climate Change and Health Impacts – A Global Issue: “Where Science and Diplomacy meet.”
The Consulate General of France in Atlanta, the German Consulate General Atlanta and the European Science Café present Climate Change and Health Impacts – A Global Issue: “Where Science and Diplomacy meet”
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century, presenting numerous major risks for our planet, international economy and security. Without sustained climate action, these impacts will have considerable consequences for our way of life and that of future generations. The lack of agreement in international climate policy heightens the crucial role of international negotiations, through climate diplomacy.
Join us for a reception and discussion with special guest, Dr. George Luber, Associate Director for Climate Change in the Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects at the National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who will share about the effects of severe climate change on health.
