The economic reconstruction in Thuringia is a success story that needs to be continued. Since 1990, most damages of the communist era were eliminated. With its modern infrastructure and well-educated people Thuringia today is one of the sites with the best investment environment in Europe.

About Christian Carius:

In 2014, Christian Carius (39) was elected as President of the Thuringian State Parliament. He is a member of parliament since 1999. From 2009-2014 he served as the Minister of Construction and Transport of the Free State of Thuringia. He is a member of the Christian Democrats (CDU), the leading party in Thuringia since the re-establishment of Democracy in 1990.
