COMPETITION: Creative Contest for University Students
Guys, you all know we’re celebrating 40 years of Goethe in Atlanta this year and that means lots of special events and celebrations for you to get involved in. Now this one is aimed at university students studying across the south east and, if you’re one of them, we’d love you to get involved in:
Mephistopheles – a comparison to…
We’re inviting all university students to be part of our 40th anniversary of the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta by entering our creative contest Mephistopheles – a comparison to…
Mephistopheles, the primary antagonist in Goethe’s renowned play Faust, stands as one of the most intriguing villains in fiction. Although the play is hundreds of years old, the impish Mephistopheles continues to delight audiences worldwide, through various artistic mediums. Perhaps this is due in part to his personality, and our ability to relate to it somehow. Mephistopheles’ cunning, wit, intellect, and charisma are all traits that we encounter each day.
In that spirit, we have our prompt: Compare Mephistopheles from Goethe’s Faust to a figure, either real or fictional.
All enrolled students at a university are eligible to enter. We are looking for drawings, essays, paintings, sculptures, collages, videos, or whatever format helps you express yourself.
