EVENT: #HereIStand Luther Exhibition Opening

It’s time for a new exhibition at the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, this one focusing on Martin Luther. Join us next week for the opening of the poster exhibition #HereIStand.


#HereIStand will present a comprehensive picture of Luther’s life, work and of the reformation.

Theologian Martin Luther forever changed Christianity when he began the Protestant Reformation in 16th-century Europe. Developed through the ‘‘Here I stand…“ Luther-Exhibitions #HereIStand will help to mark the 500th anniversary of Luther’s posting of the Ninety-Five Theses.

We’ll open the exhibition with a keynote speech from Dr. Tomoko Emmerling, the project manager of the “Here I Stand…” exhibition from the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle followed by an expert panel presentation with Dr. Emmerling, member of the academic advisory board for “Here I Stand…” exhibit and Prof. Louis D. Nebelsick and Mr. Robert Kluth, curator of the “Here I Stand…” exhibit.

This project is presented by the Consulate of the Federal Republic of German in Atlanta and the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta in partnership with the State Museum of Prehistory Halle, the Luther Memorials Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt, the German Historical Museum and the Foundation Castle Friedenstein Gotha with the support of the Foreign Office of The Federal Republic of Germany.
