VOLUNTEER: Get involved with the Goethe Atlanta at the Dogwood Festival!
It’s that time of year again guys – festival season is nearly upon us here in Atlanta! The weather is warming up, the plants are starting to bloom and the Dogwood Festival is just around the corner and that means we need YOU! Intrigued? Read on to find out more!
Spring is most definitely in the air and that can only mean one thing: The Dogwood Festival! Kicking off festival season right in our own backyard here in Midtown is the 81st Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival! The dogwoods are in full bloom and Piedmont Park is about to come alive! It’s also something we don’t want to miss out on – like we said, it’s in our own backyard! So, we’ll be there, hosting a booth with our friends at the German Consulate General Atlanta and the Alliance Française d’Atlanta all weekend!
That means that we need some help from you, our loyal members, supporters, donors and students, to man the booth throughout the weekend. We need people who are friendly, happy and eager to talk about what we do here at the Goethe Atlanta and our role within the community. Think you’re up for the job? Here’s a little more information about what we need volunteers for:
- Set up and take down of booth on Friday and Sunday evening
- Manning of booth during festival hours
- Someone who’s talkative and friendly and eager to tell festival goers all about the Goethe Atlanta
Ready to sign up? Here’s a few more details about the festival:
When: April 7, 8 & 9, 2017
Where: Piedmont Park (our booth will be in the International Village)
Times: Friday 2:00 – 8:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 8:00pm, Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm
Want to be involved? Please contact our Outreach Director, Ms. Meredith Steinmetz at Meredith.Steinmetz@german-institute.org.
We look forward to having you volunteer with us!

Again, if you’re interested in getting involved with any of these projects, please contact our Outreach Director, Ms. Meredith Steinmetz at Meredith.Steinmetz@german-institute.org.
