Oh February, how you came and passed very quickly! Where do the months disappear to? It only seems 2 minutes since we were telling you what happened in January and now we’re a week into March! Jeez! So, ready to find out what happened in February? Sit back, here goes!

To say we started the year off with a busy month is an understatement – so much for easing our way into 2016! However, we wanted to start our 40th anniversary year with a bang and we definitely did! So much happened in January we don’t know where to start but we’re pretty sure you’re looking forward to the round-up so we’ll give it a go!

After listening to a very interesting and captivating discussion on Tuesday evening between German journalist Christoph von Marschall and French journalist Gallagher Fenwick from France 24 at our Elysée Treaty Celebration, I was lucky enough to be able to sit down and chat to Christoph the following day to talk about some of the issues raised during the discussion.

Phew – February was a busy, busy month here at the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta! We had event, after event, after event and loved every minute of it! So, in case you missed out, we thought we would give you a little run down and review of what’s been going on. If you were there, you might spot yourself in a picture, if you weren’t maybe you need to add the date to your diary for next year!
As we told you in our previous blog post, the Elysée Treaty was signed 52 years ago on January, 22, 1963. It signaled he start of a new partnership and friendship between France and Germany and,over the last 50 years, has become the engine that drives the European Union. It was instrumental in making the EU the success that it is today.
Now, obviously this deserves a celebration, and, when you’re partnered with the French as well as we are it’s definitely cause for celebration! So we are doing exactly that and obviously you’re invited along so make sure you get the details in your diary!
